Biography

( Queen Of Xianau and Leader )
SHADOW-1.png
Aika
D0XSHAN.png

Aika was born from an ordinary egg like most dragons. One her hatch day she emerged to gaze up at a looming and shadowy figure. It was Shadowbinder herself. She raised her under her wing for many years, teaching her the history of this world and the ways of life in this domain. After many successful hunts and challenges set before her she succeeded. Impressed, Shadowbinder told her the purpose for these trials. She told her she was destined to lead, for the deity needed stronger dragons to help keep balance and to uphold their duty of controlling the darkness, so as to keep the world at a balance. Aika understood this and holds the teachings of her god close to her heart.

She had many questions and desires for answers, but alas, her deity was tight-lipped about many subjects. For the Great One had to know, had to know that she was strong enough to understand and be able to spread these teachings to her shadow-kin. "Do i have parents, Great One? Or was I simply created in your very image?" she inquired. The great serpent stirred with an air of pride, and peered at her disciple,
"Many things have happened over the years, little one. great wars, rebellion, the coming of power of a harpy queen, and our many trials to create and better our children. Let me tell you one particular story, my child"

"Many moons ago there was a moment of peace. Us gods knew that the darkness was slowly surging and the beastclans were simply preparing for a large scale attack. So. in this moment I had a plan,. While others rested I sought the aid and advice of another deity. Whom I admired.

The dark dragon stood at the forests edge, dripping in viscous shadow and looking out of place against the vibrant green hues of plant growth. A deep and echoing groaning reverberated through the trees, Like a great oak swaying in the heavy wind. The scent of freshly bloomed flowers wafted through the warm spring air and the grass under Shadowbinder's claws seemed to grow energetic and be renewed with growth. The shadow serpent peered into the trees to see a clearing doused in sunlight. There, in the center, sat a magnificent dragon. A dragon made of life and bark. flowers and vines. peace and tranquility. She was taken aback by the beauty of this creature, but tentatively stepped forward and rested her haunches in the soft grass across from Gladekeeper. "Welcome to my domain Shadow One. You dont seem like you make it here to the Viridian often' she laughed lightly. "I know there has been recent turmoil and i received your message. I know we don't have a lot of time but I do accept your request, as long as the child can come to my lair to learn the testament of life." Shadowbinder nodded, speechless and on edge from the creeping growth slowly moving on the clearings edge. She reached into the viscous slime that envelops her and pulled a single egg from it. "I accept your blessing Gladekeeper. This child within has been given enough life to keep sustained, but she should be ready to accept Nature's blessing. In hopes that she can be strong enough to lead and keep her flight on a safe path. We have lost many children in these wars and I do hope she can guide them, to overcome their obstacles. One of my blessed disciples." she looks at the egg lovingly and sets it gently before the Oaken god.

Gladekeeper places one heavy claw gently on the egg, suddenly a mass of vines, roots and various flora emerges from the ground around it and envelopes the glistening sphere. A gentle humming lullaby come from the Gladekeeper's jaws as her eyes glow a fierce hue of green. The egg itself begins to glow as the plant growth around begins to recede back into the fragrant earth. "I hope she serves you well dear Shadowbinder. There is nothing to fear here in the Labyrinth. We are at peace, as long as the putrid bile of plague doesn't seep into your shadowy heart" The forest god says in a low,drawn-out yet soothing voice. "Come, I wish to show you my little paradise and perhaps teach you a little. Shadowbinder places the egg close to her heart, where the shadows hold it firm, and follows the Oaken one into the depths. After a time, Shadow returns home, but she will not forget the warm spring nights she spent with Gladekeeper. It was pleasant to speak to another powerful being after so much time. So much so that Shadowbinder felt a stirring where the egg sat. A warm feeling. AS if the Viridian warmth followed her home. She sighed heavily, clutching her future disciple close to her and set out to prepare her own home for the child's arrival.
