xxxxxas expected, sophie's optimistic attitude was even written in the prophecy. the royal children often depended on her to bring a smile to their faces. it can't go without saying that sophie can be serious as well. she recognizes danger and acts accordingly. sophie is the mood-maker without being a comedian. she hates taking the place of others and showing off. sophie desires nothing more than being by the sides of her family and friends, either as a protector or a shoulder to cry on because she hopes to give them what they have given her.

xxxxxsophie mckinney was the daughter of the head housekeeper at the masdurett castle. because of her mother's job, sophie couldn't leave castle grounds and wound up playing with the royal children a lot. she studied botany with natalie's tutor and experimented with her power with her free time. the murder of her mother was a turning event in both the lives of sophie and the entire royal family as it took place in allan's quarters. after this incident, sophie was taken into the royal family as the sixth heir. her transition from a housekeeper's daughter to a full-fledged princess wasn't as rough as one would think. unlike some of the other adopted royals, sophie didn't care much about her position as the 6th heir. all she ever wanted was a family.

xxxxxuntil the third week after she was born, sophie didn't actually have a name. allan, the king and queen and other housekeepers simply referred to her as "little sophia" after her mother's name. this eventually got shortened down to sophie, and stuck with her.

fire, but darker. i'm sorry, there's a better explanation for this. dark fire
is a power that is much harder to control than regular pyrokinesis. unlike many
of the masdurett children, sophie was not born with any magickal abilities. in
fact, dark fire manipulation was taught to her.

dark fire takes the heat of magma and puts it into a less dense form. it is almost
gaseous when it is expelled from the palms, and the power itself allows the user
to control almost any form of heat, so long as its source already exists. dark fire
manipulation requires a heat source or some sort of ignition. it is impossible to
create dark fire to manipulate. however, it is possible to increase the heat of an
already existing source. the thing is, there is no limit to how hot the user can
make the source, which is what makes the power so dangerous.
