Legend says that in the early days of the clan there was a great Ash tree in the middle of the clan providing shade and shelter for the early settlers. After a particularly harsh season the early settlers were left without any plant harvest and with little to none of fish, insects and meats. The great Ash tree seeing their struggle mustered all its strength together and created a small nature egg on its top branch. Inside the egg was and imperial dragon gifted in farming and hunting and all sorts of food providing to help guide the clan. However, the Ash tree had no way of lowering the egg to the ground so it may hatch so it called out to the wind to help the hatchling within the egg to safely get down to the ground. The wind was moved by the compassion of the Ash tree and gently lowered the egg down to the clan. Whilst lowering the egg the wind gently blessed the egg resulting in a green nature dragon with yellow wind eyes. To this day the Imperial hatched from the egg has made sure the clan always have food in abundance and he has yet to find an unfavourable wind under his wings. In honour of the great Ash tree the early settlers named the hatchling Ashberry from the tree he once came from and from the foods he helped provide for the clan.
