• Lost his wings in a fire
• designed his wings himself!
• can't fly too well but can glide to where he needs to
• he may be small but he is the clan's blacksmith
• Syndicate helps him with the heavy stuff
• wants to be a Forgemaster just like his uncle

Watching the shimmering flames lick languidly at the logs. The gentle crackling of the wood felt almost therapeutic. Phoenix could not tear his eyes away from the hypnotic dance. He had always been drawn to fire, almost as if it called to him. Even his accident and losing his wings had not deterred him from his obsession. He loved to watch the fire flicker. Some days he was tempted to reach out and touch it. but he resisted He knew what fire could do to those who did not respect her power. There was one thing he loved almost as much as watching a fire.

Watching his uncle work in his forage was a wonder to Phoenix. Uncle would create beautiful works of art out of seemingly nothing. watching him make armor, jewelry, decorations, and many other things. Watching his uncle work in the forage Phoenix knew what he wanted to do. He wanted to apprentice under his uncle and learn everything he could about the wonders of blacksmithing.

It took some convincing. his family was very hesitant to let him near any flames, especially with his lack of wings.

His mother would plead with him "But Phoenix that is why we left the flameforagers after the accident that took your wings we just couldn't stay" She would try to reason with him.

But Phoenix stood firm this is what he wanted to do " Mother I understand you are worried about me but this is what I need to do, We aren't in the ash fall waste anymore. This is uncle's forage it is much safer and uncle will look after me."

Eventually, his family agreed to let him try under the guidance of his uncle. Phoenix took to blacksmithing like a bird to flight. He was very good with intricate work it was easy for him with his little hands. Over the years he even fashioned some wings that he could use to glide around the shop.

One day his uncle took him aside and said "My dear little Phoenix, I have loved having you at my forage but there is nothing left that I can teach you. It is time to start a smithy of your own." His family was very proud of him and all that he had accomplished while learning under his uncle. it was time to go out on his own.

He had set up shop in a clan in the daylight sanctum. He had even gotten an apprentice to train. He was never bored there was always work for him to do. He constantly wrote letters to his family letting them know of his exploits. Phoenix could truly say he was happy.
