Inheritance is an interesting thing to determine among immortals. While not truly immortal in the strictest, ageless sense--there is practicality to consider when it comes to the lifespans of dragons, and how young this clan is in the cosmic sense, at least. Dax is keenly aware of how complicated succession is in her family. Her parents are originals, born of intent, not shell. The elders Vodka and GuiltySpark (then by the name Ran) formed as common breeds before undergoing transformations to their true selves. Crucially, they did not transform until after producing their first clutch. Four modest hatchlings were the first borns, the heirs by any other name. In a way... Dax and her clutchmate Mena were the first trueborn Imperials in this clan, having known no other body. |
