Cantha

Cantha is a polarising dragon. She looks like a fire dragon, yet she was born in the Southern Icefield. You expect her temperature to be hot, yet she's cold. Frost forms on the edges of her wings and migrate across her red scales.

Cantha has lived a long life shaped by her potent ice magic. Being the first of her old clan to hatch as a primal, they were unsure what to do with her power. Although the rest of her siblings went to serve the Icewarden without question, she was turned away to possibly serve one of the other gods. Maybe it was better this way - it was already so hard to warm up with her body being so cold from her primal potency.

She tried asking around clans, even offering to take money for their troubles, but she was often turned down because of the way she looked. She often heard muttering that she looked soulless, like she was was a ghost, among other rude things. She tried to shut it out, to some success.

Soon enough, she found a place - and expecting to be exalted, she wasn't. Soon enough she was helping to form the roster of someplace greater than the ice warden's domain. This place would house her for years to come.

Eventually a younger dragon would stumble into the sanctuary she called home - A skydancer named Venatici. Cantha stepped up to the young dragon and offered her strength to the young dragon, whom was looking for an Ice representative for her clan. Venatici accepted the offer. Waving farewell to her long-time friends, Cantha set out with her to the clan of Venatici's origin.

Although her arrival in the clan has been less than well received, Cantha has already proved herself an asset. She organises and leads excursions into the Southern Icefield, recalling lore and information as the other dragons listen whilst they're doing their jobs. When she isn't doing that, she entertains the hatchlings with trivia about where she came from and lets them chase the migrating frost colonies on her scales. She also occasionally writes about the clan she lives in and its history.
