Biography
Keahis, a bright glimmer of sable and orange against the cracked and parched ground, panted as she ran, farther and faster than she had ever run in her life. Emaciated but still gorgeous, the exhausted coatl strove to put one more foot on the burning ground. Before long, though, she heared heavy beat of wings sounding behind her and slowly looked up, terrified and frozen, to see the imposing silhouette of Ryze against the sun, here to drag her back to the hell of the cultish lair.
A few months later, Keahis, beaten down and gray with shame, appeared before the clan entrance, cradling her precious egg in her arms. She laid it carefully at Isis' feet and turned to flee immediately, glancing back only once at the child she abandoned to a brainwashed fate.
A young albino bogsneak crawled from the shattered shell a few days later and looked up to blink at Batu and Isis, the first pieces of this world she saw and truly the most essential she would ever know.
Perhaps it was the long journey through the heat as an egg or the trauma that her mother suffered or simply the atmosphere of the lair, but even on the first day, it was evident that Sazad (as Wer fondly named the babe) was a little "off". As the precocious young dragon grew, she developed a tendency to ignore the company of other dragons and instead gather various bits of metals that the other dragons never bothered with. She would then huddle in a corner before stepping back to reveal a rather complex...contraption. It wasn't long before Sazad discovered the joys of working not only with metal parts, but the organic materials around the lair as well.
Soon, though, her skills grew and her clanmates would notice that her projects would sometimes twitch a limb, whether made out of sprockets or exalted remains, and Isis, picking up on this, would saunter over to sit next to Sazad and bring the young dragon's creation to complete life for a short while to amuse her.
As Sazad grew older, her prominence and importance in the clan grew and she became known as the clan's "mechanic" and was often secluded in her private work area, tinkering and adjusting as strong smokes floated over from various strangely colored flames.
TBC:
Explosion.
Injured.
Replaced parts with Opal.
