Role: Honorable Assistant, Jeweler, Singer, Healer Pronouns: she/her Background: "I don't go away if you ignore me." The dark Prince stood at the entrance to the doorway, leaning against the post. Even if she couldn't see him, he had a way of making his presence obvious. Yet, she didn't face him, nor even turn to look. Instead, she continued to work on her latest jewelry piece. No good jeweler (no proper siren) would go anywhere without a materials pouch. She kept hers close to herself. No dragon, Gaoler or otherwise, would take it from her. But, she would not hide her current piece. She tinkered away at it, styling the metal coils meticulously around the jewels. She would not budge first. Perhaps the Prince was an angler. He knew just which bait to toss, to see if she'd bite. She held her silence as she worked diligently. "You sirens are so fleeting. I've always heard you folk can steal voices, but never have I heard of anyone stealing theirs." The wood of the Airship creaked as he shifted. He must be getting bored. She didn't care what he had to say. Instead of words in her ears, she heard the bustling of a seaport. For a moment, rays of sunlight warm her frosty scales. She walks across the boardwalk, followed by a jingling of jewels, rather than any shackles around her feet. And yes, she was fleeting. She'd pass through, trade her wares, purchase new ones, and then disappear as mysteriously as she came. As was her way of life, and as it will be. One day. |
