Zlato Courier Biography In search of ever-more diversity for her rapidly-growing Clan, Fireglass adopted the Pearlcatchers Zlato and Kuarsa into Clan Tigris. Zlato, unfortunately, is not the most graceful representative of his species. Zlato is clumsy, plain and simple. He stumbles, staggers, butchers flight takeoffs and landings, and has suffered almost unbelievable injuries in some of these accidents, to the point that Zlato taught himself healing spells to avoid depleting the supply of his Clans's healing stores. How he's managed not to break or lose his pearl is anyone's guess. Some of his Tigris Clanmates - those with fragile inventions, for instance - don't take well to Zlato, but more have come to enjoy his company. Zlato’s falls haven't affected his quick wit and friendly, joking nature. He's even won over a few dragons with delicate treasures to guard, such as his mate, Kuarsa, whose archival duties require extreme protectiveness over the Clan's often-fragile artifacts. Zlato's day-to-day duties are generally centered around the dragons of the Clan rather than objects; he delivers casual (verbal) messages, helps with small tasks where he can, and takes it upon himself to help get new members settled in. With youngsters in particular he takes on a rather fatherly air; he and Kuarsa more or less adopted the Pearlcatcher Chatoya, who was very young when she first came to the Clan. Treasures
