Ietora

Ietora joined the clan in, as most do, in an unconventional way. Her familiar, a blue fin charger named Uisce, had a pension for running off, but Ietora often enjoyed the adventures her familiar would lead them on.

It was in the market that Uisce decided to wander off. Ietora followed to find him attempting to play with a long neck skirmisher belonging to a quite large obsidian guardian. she apologized to the fellow before collecting her, now disgruntled, familiar. she admonished Uisce for playing with strangers, not noticing the guardians inquisitive gaze.

Ietora walked back to the merchant but as soon as she turned her back, Uisce took off once more. she tried to follow but fell behind the swift charger in the crowd. she caught up to him to see him chittering with the same long neck skirmisher from before. Ietora scooped him up, apologizing to the Guardian again, before walking away.

Uisce however, had different plans, slipping away as soon as any opportunity arrived, always finding the skirmisher and the guardian. three more times the determined charger escaped, the last time, Ietora bought a special bag to contain him before tracking Uisce down.

upon seeing her once again the guardian chuckled. "he seems determined to give you the slip, isn't he?"

she huffed in exasperation. "he's never acted this way before; I'm not sure what's gotten into him."

"well i don't know how well that bag will hold them but if you don't mind the company, we could walk with you until your done shopping. Illana doesn't seem to mind him and he might not run away if she is near."

"If it lets me get my shopping done, i'll try anything. are you sure it wont be a bother?"

"My clan mates just wanted me here as an extra pack mule just in case. i just need to let Turi know and then we can go."

He went to speak to the tundra at the stall over before coming back. "shall we?"

Ietora nodded. "I'm Ietora and this trouble maker is Uisce."

"Lalan and Illana."

"so what brings you to the market? you don't seem local."

Lalan chuckled "Our clan wanders the lands to find anyone who would like to join our family. We stopped to get some supplies and gifts for the hatchlings. You don't seem local either; what brings you here?"

"Uisce and I are nomadic adventurers of a sort; he likes to go adventuring off and I follow."

"no clan?"

"not really, its always been just us, we havent found anywhere to settle down."

"I understand. we're nomadic ourselves; we're still looking for the perfect place to settle, i think we'll be headed towards the glades after this. if you are headed that way, you're welcome to join us."

"i appreciate the offer but I think we're heading south."

"well if we cross paths, you're always welcome."

"I look forward to that. you mentioned that your clan searches for new members, how did you join?"

they travel from merchant to merchant trading stories. its only when they hear the closing bells that they realize that they've spent the entire afternoon chatting.

Ietora packs up the last of the supplies in her bags. "I'm sorry for keeping you for so long; your clan mates must be worried."

Lalan waves off her concern with a flick of his wings "It's no bother, It was nice to talk with you, and Illana seemed to enjoy Uisce's company as well."

they turn to the familiars resting against each other, still chatting away.

Ietora looks up at Lalan, "It seems like a shame to separate them, maybe we could travel with you all for a bit. I know Uisce has been a bit lonely."

Lalan grins "it would be a shame, Illana is a bit of a loner and seems quite fond of Uisce's company. I'll admit, I'm much of the same and I've quite enjoyed your company as well; good friends are harder to find these days."

"maybe we could travel with you for a while, at least as far as the glade; I know the way well and could show you the sights"

"we'd be honnored, I know the hatchlings would love to hear of your adventures." Lalan picked up his sleepy familiar and set her on his back and Ietora does the same. "shall we?"

"Let's go, adventure awaits."

with that they turned towards the exit of the marketplace and headed to the clan camp grounds. Ietora is still not sure what lead Uisce to find Illana that day but she's grateful he did. they ended up traveling with the clan and somewhere along the way became a part of it.

she still wanders from time to time but now with a purpose in mind, to help her new family, bringing back supplies and other lost dragons who wish to join. to think that this was all happened just because her familiar demanded a new adventure.
