____Marcus has an incredibly chipper personality, if personality is what it can be called. He is... very personable. And maintains the same attitude no matter if he is brewing tea or asking Miranda to kill someone for him. Honestly, he scares most of the Clan, and in this Clan, that's a big deal. He scares Alice, too, but she also recognizes when someone is useful and often makes use of his friendly threats to get what she wants in negotiations.

____His closest, and perhaps only real, friend is Miranda, who was the one to change his breed from Imperial to Wildclaw. There is a rumor, which Marcus intends to eradicate, that the reason he had his breed changed was that he was afraid of becoming an Emperor, or of the unpredictable lifespan that goes with being Imperial. Whatever the reason, Miranda and him have formed some kind of terrifying bond.

____Partner: Miranda is the only person who can actually be said to be in his confidence. To the entire world he wears a veneer of whims and humor and danger. To Miranda, he shows whatever lays under that.

____They are the only ones who understand each other.

____The only other creature in the lair who is not at the very least wary of Marcus is his Serthis familiar, named Rachel, who isn't afraid of anything. She is also very terrifying. She has insulted Marcus to his face and lived to tell the tale.

____She left the sect of children Serthis she was born into when they were left to form their own society, assuming correctly that she could do better on her own. She has boldly made her way into Marcus's company, and is the only one besides Miranda to whom he confides anything of substance.
