Eon

Deep in The caves of high snow covered peaks lay a young wolf. She was a pure white color with light grey highlights along her back. She lay curled up in the caves protected from the storm that raged outside. She watched the cave entrance eager for the return of her mate, whop had gone out to hunt for her. The Female named Cieara could not hunt for herself at the moment. She had just given birth to three beautiful pups. Two females and a male. The two oldest were colored much like their father, Black with a white chest. The youngest and smallest of the three looked like a mix of her parents. Her Fur was a dark bluish grey with lighter highlights. The Male pup, named Timber was the biggest of the three. Next came gentle Rose. She was shy and more nevous then her siblings. The Third pup she had named Eon, for although small her curiousity and energy was endless.
The females ears pricked as her mate entered the cave. He had returned empty pawed. He was a large black wolf with deep honey colored eyes. There was not a speck of white on his black fur. The male leaned down and nuzzled his mate before he lay down beside her, his body between his famly and the entrance. Food was scarce this time of year. The mountain was in full grip of winter. The most plentiful prey was to large for a single wolf to bring down and it was much to dangerous to leave the pups, they would have to go hungry tonight.
The female sighed as she lay her head on her paws and closed her eyes. They pups were currently nestled up to her side asleep. “We can not stay in the mountains” Her ears flicked towards her mates voice as she lifted her head. “We can not leave while the pups are this young... They would never make it” She nuzzled her mate. “We can tough it out, we always do.”
The male, Shadow heaved a sigh as he looked at her. “We did not have more mouths to feed.... They are going to grow and even in warmer months the prey has moved on. Once the snow melts we should find a new home. The pups will be strong enough by then to make the journey”
Cieara sighed and nodded, the journey would be long and with three pups it would be difficult, but she knew her mate was right. “Then come summer we will leave.....” She lay her head on her mates side as she once more closed her eyes.
“EON! You get back in here now!” Months had passed and the snow had started to melt. Eon froze as she looked back at the cave to see her fathers large frame in the entrance. “Damn.... Hows he always know” She sighed as she slunk back towards the cave. “but pappa its so boring in the cave!”
Shadow glared down at his youngest then sighed. “The cave is safe, you know better then to leave by yourself. Now come inside” -He turned and headed in not bothering to see if she would listen, he knew she would.
Eon lay her ears flat and sighed. They had finally been allowed to leave the den just last week and she was eager to explore the new world that awaited them, She didnt want to be couped up in the cave.
”Told yea you would get caught!” Her brother teased from where he was sitting beside their mother. “You never learn.. Dad always catches you”
She growled at her brother and pounced tugging on his ear as they started wrestling with him ignoring their fathers half hearted growl. After a few minutes she was pinned and wiggled under her brother as he used his weight against her. “Get off! Your fat but is squishing me!”
Shadow growled as his sun grabbed her scruff. “Timber get off your sister” He stretched as he turned and headed for the cave entrance intent to go out and hunt.
Eon scrambled out from under Timber and hurried after her father. “Can I come pappa, please!” She looked up at him with big eyes as she wagged her tail. She was dissapointed though as her mother called her back, she was still much to young to go on a hunt.
