She was found in a scrap yard, tossed away as if she were just another piece of trash. Truly, she would have stayed that way if Robin hadn't needed her REDACTED. She was purchased at wholesale, and taken back to the S.I. Laboratories, only to discover that several of her parts were not mechanical at all, and were in fact, still human.

With help from the Science Division, Cosette was re-activated. Her humanity, however, remained in question. She claims she was once human, but that REDACTED had caused her to replace more and more of her body. She no longer sleeps. She no longer eats. All she cares to do is work, because it's marginally better than laying in a scrap heap.
