Biography

Clan of the Endless Skyline
Founding member

Enterprising, innovative, persistent. These are the traits of the perfect scientist, and such is indisputable. Nimbus has them all. A bona fide Lightning dragon, he grew up studying the craft from his parents, who lived in the Lightning Farm and worked as technicians. The young scientist proved a technological prodigy, and was accepted for an internship in the Tempest Spire.

It was there that he met his future mentor: Greymalkin, a Coatl who had overcome his breed's superstitions with logic and reason. Nimbus saw the dull-plumed engineer as his hero, and begged him for an apprenticeship, which the older dragon agreed to.

Greymalkin had a hypothesis: That magic, something the Tempest Spire looked down upon, could combine with science to create a powerful new force. He wanted to propose this idea to the head honchos of the Spire, and he needed an assistant to help him put it together.

Nimbus shadowed him for months, eagerly soaking in everything the Coatl had to teach him, then used this knowledge to help out on some of his tougher experiments. And when Greymalkin's thesis was ridiculed, he followed the disgraced scientist to a new job in the Windswept Plateau.

In the clan called Caer Ventus, he met his future mate and beloved, Cirrus.

If Cirrus is our mother, then Nimbus is the annoying father. He thinks he’s a bigwig, just because he’s from Lightning and knows all about science and stuff. His voice doesn’t help; it’s high pitched and whiny, especially when he’s agitated, which is often. Cirrus loves him, though, and vice versa. They make a good couple, actually. And we can always ask him for help, the next time we need a trajectory calculated. You know, for buckets. Of rotten fish… Moving on.

Permanent familiar: A pyromaniac Ember Mouse who constantly offers up matches, especially when none are needed.
