Biography

"At times, the best choice you have is to be patient. That way... only the fools will see you coming."

Calm unlike most dragons who've ever taken wing, Haeln is the sort to bide her time until the right possible moment. Be it in getting a good deal or taking down a foe, this truly ice-hearted Nocturne can and will do whatever is necessary to see things fall her way. Even if that meant pairing herself off with her exact opposite: an excitable if bloodthirsty wannabe sea captain, an Imperial with ample pep for adventure and dreams of glory.

Seemingly indolent on the battlefield, this slender Plague dragon allows her foes to assume that her lithe frame is more fragile than it seems before striking. Burning fangs and sharp claws usually make short work of these who're better off labeled as prey, if the toxic side-effects of her Plague-born magic don't take them down first. To that end, she has little patience reserved to deal with those who might rise up to come after her again later on... all the more reason they fall now before they become a true and proper issue in days ahead.

For this reason Haeln rarely bothers to recall those who prove a little too stubborn for their own good, having no motive for active revenge plots as she sees any interaction that results in scathing insults or debilitating wounds as resolved: only reckless folk would go so far as challenging her again, just to be defeated once more. She's all for courageous daring, to be sure, yet her seemingly boundless patience will run thin very quickly if tested a bit too much.

It's just as possible she's equally cool and indifferent to her own hatchlings likely with the intent of only teaching them from very early on that the world can be a cruel and vile place. That it can give you wounds that never heal, leaving you frail and even bitter to others. Exactly what could've happened to Haeln in a time unknown, leaving her firm in her standards and willing to allow her mate to be the main parent of them both.

Just as well, considering how for a dragon who literally plays pirate all day is a better guide than this bitter dragon anyday... just make sure to give her a wide berth if you can. Any insults she slings can probably be ignored but a scratch or bite should be looked at by a healer. No really, you need a healer!
