Welcome, travelers! If this is your first visit, we encourage you take a little time to understand the history and richness of this city. If you're returning... we welcome you back!
City History Solevant, a name that has evolved from historic languages, literally means "sunrise". Just like the rest of the world generations ago, this area was cast into darkness from the heavy cloud cover that eventually blocked out the sun. Once citizens realized the eternal night was here to stay, they began flocking to metropolitan areas for safety. But gathering in groups wasn't enough- without life giving sunlight, even those in the city would find critical food supplies running low. It was in our darkest hour that the light once again shown brightly, though it came to us in a very different way than our great grandparents were used to. A way to bottle and disperse actual collected sunlight had been discovered, and Apollo Enterprises was born. Now the world's largest distributor of bottled sunlight resides right here in our fair city. The influx of citizens to the city meant the city grew quickly. However, smaller towns outside of the borders were slowly becoming abandoned and more dangerous for those who tried to stay. These "outskirts" as they're called are no longer safe, and it's recommended to avoid venturing beyond city boarders on one's own. Many unruly gangs roam the darkness these days, but the city still remains the safest place to be. Places to Visit
A Word of Warning Just as with any city, we have our fair share of problems. It's best for citizens, especially tourists, to keep their wits about them. While most of those who call this city home and fair and honest folk, crime does happen- and it seems to have something to do with an ambitious yet necessary project the city has taken on- the Scarlet Bay Correctional Facility. We don't think it has anything to do with the facility itself- the trouble seems to be connected more to a recently incarcerated inmate who now resides there. All we know for sure is that he's connected to the construction legacy, and that his sister may be involved with a rather shady group. |
