Biography
Bold, Bright, and at times violent as the raging infernos he takes his name from. Though he is a member of the shadow clan, he holds no loyalty or resemblance to them. Instead he finds himself much closer to the fire clans rather than living in the darkness and secrecy of his birth.
Deep at heart he’s a terrible romantic, though years of ceaseless strife and woe has created a hard and grim shell around his inner workings. He’s still a rather sociable sort despite everything, and often makes forays into populated cities. Hardly anyone who meets the dragon could imagine the fierce and merciless warrior hidden beneath the smiles and sugared words.
On the field of battle he’s a savage opportunist. Relying primarily on his speed and magic, he favors pure offense in favor of any defensive moves. He’s not built to sustain many blows, and so has to be able to dodge them or fight at a distance instead. Because of this he often looks like a dancer instead of a warrior, skirting around would-be attackers like a sparrow around a hawk. If he’s caught in close quarters combat he’s in serious trouble, and would rather flee than fight a battle he’s apt to lose. (He’s not so dumb to risk his life over his pride.)
When in human form Infernis is far more talkative and welcoming to others. A wandering vagrant, the dragon is a brilliant actor, pretending to be nothing more than a common hunter and occasional mercenary. His silvery words and polite acts lead most to believe he must be a former nobleman. A peasant does not speak or act with such grace and regality after all. He plays off of this as a sensible reason to explain his wealth and secrecy and feeds the rumor.
On the rare occasion that he takes his true form it’s usually to fight another dragon or some terrible rampaging beast. His mannerism is rough and blunt when in his natural form, and he rarely says more than what needs to be said. The Skydancer disdains his haughty and arrogant kin and doesn’t enjoy spending much time in their company. If he’s forced into a situation where he has to interact with dragons he’s not afraid to let them know of this hatred. Because of this, most are unable to stand his company for long.
