In the hollow winds of autumn, there was born a pair of twin dragons. For all expectations, if one were to look at their parentage, the twins would be beautiful. However, it was not so. The first twin, shining and dark, hatched easily. The second labored over the course of a whole day to chip away at her own egg, and when she emerged, there was a shocked gasp from the nest mothers. Pale lavender eyes, a shining white hide, and the barest gold pulse that showed, yes, she was related.

The twins grew to be lovely in their own ways, full of great mischief and love. The white twin came to be known as Whisper, and the black twin was called Murmur, for how often they stood apart from company, murmuring and whispering to one another. They both would show talent in seeing the future, though one could only see future actions, and the other could only see results. Together, they established a small business, telling their respective halves of the future to dragons with the right coin.

Murmur, the seer of the future results, would still prove to be the favorite of their parents, no matter what Whisper did.
