Ximena set out on a journey through Sornieth after becoming fascinated with the famous Snapper Tomo's quest of collecting and preserving all knowledge in the world. She was realistic enough to see the fruitlessness of that aspiration but left her home with the personal goal of learning as much as possible for herself, just to give her life a meaning. The end of her journey saw her stranding in the Sea of a Thousand Currents. After years spent with the clan she was staying at, she didn't give up on her quest of learning. But instead of continuing her travels, she decided to settle down and study every single book she can get her claws on.

She has remarkable patience, especially when it comes to other dragons. The Snapper has a calming presence and tries to avoid conflict with others any way she can. The only times where her patience and pacifism know an end is when somebody actively or passively prevents her from gaining more knowledge of the world; and she can be incredibly stubborn. She's also kind of very obsessed with shiny gemstones. She has a large minerals collection and refuses to let anybody touch them.

Ximena became a representative in the council for her vast knowledge and understanding of not only her parents' Flight's traditions, but also of the other elemantal Flights due to her travel experiences. She often takes on the role of a mediator when there are disagreements in the council.
