Biography

Fadero's avatar

"The heavenly storm"
Occupation: Commander
Quote:
Conscientious - Honorable - Resillient

About
Fadero is the second eldest and probably the most combat and tactic orientated of the three "Raidboss" siblings. He is the commander of forces that inhabit and surround the city of Illuralë. His two siblings both have their own division but only follow the direct orders of Fadero when it comes to rivalry combat with other clans or exiled dragons.

He is a very skilled fighter, and can easily handle a dozen of dragons on his own, though he rarily has to jump into combat, opting to let the soldiers do the work lest the favor turns against them. When he does decide to jump in, he is quick to strike, agile and rutheless. One could compare to the thunder that rolls in the clouds above the Tempest shire, this ruthless beast has earned the title of The Heavenly storm among the lair.

When he doesn't keep himself busy with military tasks, he can be found strolling through the different streets of the cities, throughout the camps outside the walls all the way through the little corners of the city to patroll. He rarily stops to chit-chat and the people grown used to it, he is a relatively poor partner in conversation unless you can stand the stern hums.

He tends to perk up more if someone inquires about something combat or tactic related as they are his fields of expertise. Usually this expertise is welcomed more in the third and fourth layer, where dragons aim to pursue to better themselves and many of them will join the ranks of the deities.

When rain strikes he takes to the sky and scout any risky area that are prone to floods. He generally brings back a few strays while he is out and around and brings them to the outer camp to get looked after.

Background:
Fadero was born on the edge between The shifting Expanse and The sea of a Thousand Currents. When he hatched, there were no dragons in sight. His dragons had no means to care for a hatchlings, and could barely feed themselves, so they left his egg where they hoped it would be found.

While it didn’t get found, it was close enough for Fadero to run into people who taught him the ropes of survival. Much like Fadero, they were strays. Outcasts and dragons with no connections other than each other. It didn’t take too long before he started to consider the band his family.

Back then he was a rather shy male, to afraid to speak up and would shift his eyes down anxiously whenever someone intimidating approached.

Him and the small band traveled from clan to clan to survive, not all of them would welcome a group of strays but occasionally they were welcomed in for a warm bed and a hot meal. Of Course occasionally this also meant his small "Family" grew even smaller as dragons found themselves a new home to live in.

Fadero hadn't been that lucky, perhaps it was his submissive nature, maybe it was because he could barely mutter out a squeak when spoken too. He was never entirely sure why there was no place for him, he wasn't sure it was his right to ask.

One day, during a heavy rainstorm Fadero found his home, although bittersweet. While rain was pouring down, him and his only remaining sibling, a guardian hatchling of the same age, were left and rushing to the village that was on the horizon. The rain clung to their scales, and made it difficult to traverse through the sand. The sand would continue to slip and slide or attempt to suck in their little paws, slowing them down while all of Tidelord's wrath poured from the heavens.

Of Course when they reached the little village, they wouldn't have any of it. The area had started to gain a rapid number of mudslides, and the last thing they needed were two drenched, shivering and hungry little hatchlings. The villagers were forceful, slashing, growling at the pair to scare them off while hiding in the safety of their walls.

Fadero tried to reason with the group but could only muster up broken squeaks in his fear. The dragons behind the wall didn't listen to their pleads, and certainly didn't care if the mud swallowed them whole, instead of allowing them in to safety they met them with violence and send them out to meet their fate.

The beatdown had left the two hatchlings exhausted and broken. Their limbs hurting, wings crippled and their bodies bleeding.

It wasn't until long when a mudslide came right at them and they realized too late that running would just use up any strength they had left so they just clung to each other with every little ounce of strength they could muster up before it came. When it hit them, it was a lot more horrifying than the dragons in the village, more terrifying than the thunders he saw deep in his territory.

The force of the wave knocked the air out of their lungs and dragged them off to wherever the mud went. It was impossible to see, mud burning their eyes as they struggled to find their bearings. They tried to keep at the surface by clawing or swimming desperately, but their struggles were in vain when everything turned black for the pair.

When Fadero tried to flutter his eyes open, carefully rubbing the sand out of his eyes while his muscles burned with every move his body made, his eyes met the sunlight. Tidelord's wrath had settled down and the birds had found their voice again.

A raspy grunt escaped his throat as he tried to lift his head to peer around. The mud had started to dry up again in the warmth of the sun, but he was no longer in the middle of a sea of mud. The mud still clung to his scales as proof it wasn't merely a dream.

"You're finally up? I wasn't so sure ya'd make it there kid!" a scruffy squeek came from behind the blue ridgeback. The male snapped his head back at where the voice located.

Behind him was a creature as tall as some Imperials he had met along his travels, but didn't seem quite like any imperials he had seen before. A soft coat of fur covered where would be scales, and more tails than he had ever seen on a dragon.

When his eyes met the dragon in front of him, his body shot up. Not in fear that he would be attacked, but he hadn't seen his friend, his sibling!

"Elias! Elias! Can you hear me? Elias!? his voice came out cracked as he called out. He listened for a reply, but with every passing second his throat dried up like the muddy wasteland in front of him, he tried to swallow away the lump that was forming in his throat but to no avail.

He called again and again, but the only reply was his echo that carried over the empty lands in front of him. Tears found his eyes as he tried to reason with himself. Perhaps they just got separated, maybe the flood carried Elias through further than him, maybe he had gone ahead and was waiting for Fadero to catch up.

I’m sorry for your loss kid, it was one ruthless storm” the scruffy squeak spoke once again.

Loss? Lo-, loss? No, no... no no! Fadero’s eyes darted through the blurry ravaged lands in front of him, looking for any sign of what resembled his friend before he flung himself around to the Imperial look-a-like and clung to its paws. “N-no! He has to be out there! He is waiting! Please, please tell me you saw him, h-he is roughly my size. A Guardian hatchling! Please, his yellow scales would’ve been impossible to miss!

Oi! Watch it kid, We aren’t all as tall as you!” A scruffy huff escaped to the air. Fadero flung his head around from who he assumed talked to him to a bunny barely a few feet tall. His creamy fur stained from the mud. He continued before Fadero got to process the fact that it was indeed a bunny talking to him.

Listen kid, I uh.. When we found you in the flood there were no other living creatures nearby, you yourself barely survived. T’is a miracle you’re standing here”.

The words broke any shred of hope Fadero had left for his adopted brother, Elias. He continued to wail onto the fur of the Imp who just held him until he was out of tears. When he finished, they introduced themselves and he learned of his two saviours Clav and Kyoto. After dinner, his breakdown started all over again and would continue to for the next few weeks.

From the day they saved him, Fadero came with the pair to wherever they went during their travel. He learned that Clav was an insanely strong warrior and Kyoto was, despite her size, relatively harmless. The sheer strength Clav possesed inspired Fadero a lot, perhaps if he had been as strong as Clav the bunny, he could’ve saved his brother from his fate.

And so, Clav started training Fadero throughout their journey, while they settled down, and all the way to the present day. Fadero isn’t as strong as Clav, but he is the dragon people look for when in need. He couldn’t save his brother, but he has saved countless of lives in a similar fashion as the pair saved his.
