"My name is Jimmy, and you better not wear it out!" ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ Growing up in a small village in the Snowsquall Tundra, Jimmy was a problem child from the moment he could keep his legs steady underneath himself. He was hyperactive, even for a hatchling, and quickly developed a strong habit of disregarding instructions and rules. As he grew, he only became more of an issue for authority, brought home many times by patrolling Wardens who found him breaking into the Fortress of Ends or painting obscenities on famous landmarks. When he set off to forge his own path away from the clan he was born into, he officially denounced the Icewarden and pledged his support to the only dragon that mattered - himself. Jimmy gained a large following in fellow disillusioned adolescents. For a time, things were good; he was a leader of fellow outcasts, a martyr to the abandoned, a beacon of hope and rebellion. He was beloved, envied, and sought after by the underdogs of Sornieth. The Southern Icefields were almost too small for him. To Jimmy, it was all the same - the deities were tyrannical leaders, and he was the only true hope for the downtrodden. In time, Jimmy would meet a dragon who, in most respects, was much like himself. She would rise through the ranks of his followers and become both his right hand and his partner. He saw her as the penultimate rebel, a saint like himself, the salt of the earth and dangerous as they came. He loved her - but love from young Jimmy only went so far. Jimmy's selfishness and martyr complex finally caught up to him when his extraordinary girl could no longer bear to be with him. She denounced him in front of all of his followers, and took a good chunk of them with her when she departed, leaving Jimmy only with his most loyal - but feeling like he was utterly alone. For the first time, he felt like everything he stood for was a lie. Lost and hopeless, he returned home. For months on end, Jimmy could only wallow in self-pity as his few remaining followers awkwardly milled about his home village. When pressed, he could only bemoan his lost love - a girl he refused to remember, who he only called "Whatsername". When the elements of the world began to kick into high gear, blanketing the Snowsquall Tundra in more snow than ever before, Jimmy was finally shaken out of his stupor. Sornieth was suddenly at war with itself, the lands were expanding, and the deities were speaking again - Jimmy quickly realized that the world needed him, and he had no time to wallow. Leaping back into action, Jimmy took his followers out of the Southern Icefields, beginning a tour across Sornieth to see the damages for himself and preach his teachings. It was time for everyone to know their enemy and turn their attention to the shackles of oppression they'd all been forced into. The deities, Jimmy said, had caused every problem Sornieth had ever had. Did they really need to continue praising them for their creation when an Emperor was rampaging because of the deities' folly? It was time to stop fighting one another and turn to the real threat - the one that had been there all along. [WIP]
