Biography
It was her beauty that drew them in. Nothing too flashy, nothing extravagant. No, hers was a subtle beauty, a soft elegance. A pleasant smile graced a face with delicate features, her voice a gentle murmur. Everything about the female Spiral drew males to her like moths to a flame. And just like those insects, they never suspected some danger may lie within that glorious light. It was her eyes. Those horrible, beautiful emerald eyes.
Those glimmering orbs, holding something indescribable in their depths. Once her eyes locked on yours, there was no going back, no escaping their cold embrace. You suddenly felt very small, as if you could swim in their depths endlessly and still never reach their limits. Her gaze penetrated, prying, searching. Searching for something hidden deep within. That one thing you wished to remain hidden forever, that one thing you would never dare breath aloud.
And suddenly, you found yourself confessing it to her. That creature who might have been gorgeous, divine, if not for those jade eyes that were just a little too unsettling. A little too wild.
Pandora. How fitting a name for one who made you feel as though some secret box buried deep within yourself was slowly, carefully, tenderly being pried open by the truth hidden within those eyes fixed on yours. She was seeing the worst of you, the things you didn’t want her to see, and yet, for some strange reason, you felt yourself drawing closer to her still. Letting your guard drop just a little bit more, letting her peer into your soul just a little bit further. Some primal part of your brain was trying to warn you: Run. Flee. But your legs became lead. And after all, why would you want to walk away from something so captivating, so...alive?
Almost eagerly, like a willing offering, you handed over the one thing that would break you.
Later, after the thrill of the encounter wore off, long after Pandora slid her gaze away from yours, the realization of what you had done would slowly dawn on you. This creature that you didn’t know, that you had no trust in, knew how to destroy you.
The paranoia began to set in then.
Would she use this stolen knowledge against you? When? Tomorrow? Right now? Years from now? Would she wait until you were happy, unsuspecting? Wait until you had forgotten her completely? Or would she do nothing? Yes, maybe she wouldn’t do anything at all… Maybe nothing had really happened at all… Surely you didn’t really tell her… Surely it was all in your imagination… Look, there she goes, just a normal female spiral. Pleasing to the eye, sure, but just an attractive female. Nothing more.
…Right?
