Biography
Providence || Bringer of Despair
A particularly cruel demon hunter, Providence revels in the fear they strike into the still, unbeating hearts of undead. Whether you overcome death and survive as a mortal or lay honorably as a cadaver; those are your two choices. The in-between of overcoming death as undead is not an option.
As such, they only accept hits for undead. You'd think that this would keep them less busy than other mercenaries, yet many of the requests for Providences service end up as dead ends. Either exaggerated phobias or urban legends gone too far, they yield no actual undead to extinguish. Providence doesn't request extra fee for wasting their time, but you certainly don't want to attempt making a false request a second time. They don't usually eliminate mortals for a lack of thrill, not some moral code.
Those that have died once tend to value their second chance more, and that sentiment is exactly what this hunter preys on. The weak don't get to enjoy a second chance; it is only natural to return corpses to the ground they rose from in the name of Plaguebringer.
Providence is a nightowl, enjoying spending their nights simply staring at the starry sky. They are never awake during day, and neither will be anyone who's foolish enough to try and wake them.
