Nivi

Nivi was once an ordinary mortal dragon with a penchant for gambling and other such games of chance. She was not perhaps, addicted, or at least she wasn't interested in winning so much as playing the games themselves. Unfortunately, this lifestyle eventually led her to owe large sums of money to many dangerous people, a circumstance that eventually forced her to flee from some of her more powerful creditors.

The young dragon eventually found her way into the Darklands, where she was amazed by the wonders and incredible sights contained therein, particularly, the many gems beneath the surface that she begun to collect, and to make dice out of to teach some of the denizens there the games she'd loved so much in her life on the surface. She became the first coatl known to stave off the effects of the greying of her colors by fully embracing her new life below the surface, finding new color in the gems she'd collected.

When she eventually braved a trip back to the surface, Nivi traded a gem now known as the Heart of Earth to Torag in exchange for becoming a goddess. As a result, she became the known as The Grey and considers herself to be the mother of all coatls abandoned by their parents for having dull colors, something that's founded a strong friendship between her and Folgrit. Ever grateful to Torag for paying her debts before her return to the surface, Nivi continues to bring him all sorts of gems and trinkets from below.
