KONRAD
— THE REPTILE KEEPER —

The only hatchling to survive his nest, Konrad was born to a reluctant first-time mother who suffered from a rather tragic combination of inexperience and... well, stupidity. Mistaking his bonded appearance to be an illness at best and a curse at worst, she abandoned him, leaving his fate to the Shadowbinder. Somehow managing to survive throughout the hardship of his formative years, Konrad has become a bit of a cynic—certainly, by no surprise.

Still teetering between adolescence and adulthood, Konrad retains some of the gangling, awkward posturing of youth, stuck between a nature of eternal discontent and newfound male aggression. Dour and pessimistic, a conversation with Konrad might as well be considered a Herculean effort. He is highly insecure of his bonded condition, cloaking himself in cloths and bandages and staying always in the Clan’s peripheral.

Konrad is the Clan's resident herpetologist; he keeps a rather large collection of reptiles as pets, and is also charged with breeding them for the Clan's meat rations. His profession has gotten him into a bit of trouble recently, as Clanmother Vedanshi has tasked him with "domesticating" a surprise addition to the Clan...
