Staruck
....."No, no, no. I've told you a thousand times how to mix it correctly..." The skydancer shook their head in disapproval. Staruck looked up at them with a distressed expression, claws still clutched around empty vials as the cauldron below bubbled and boiled the failed mixture within. “Well, it’s not the end of the world.” The apprentice murmured and then ran along, avoiding the awful gaze of the potion brewer. ”It’s... quite simple really, but sure. Run along then.”
.....”This is impossible.” The skydancer spoke in a frustrated tone. The icy imp looked down at the apprentice with a tired frown. ”You need only to try.” Staruck glanced away and brushed their claws against the snow, focusing. But it refused to move. This wasn’t working. “I’m through with this.” They scowled and adjusted their hat, bringing herself to a stand. Staruck shook their arms, flapping the starry cloth on their hands. “I am done learning from you. All of you.”
.....And then the star dappled skydancer would wander out into the ice fields, to make their own life. Wandering wherever the frigid winds would take them, and soon disappearing into the snow drifts. Staruck would take an interest in different forms of their teachings. The more arcane arts and magics, and medicinal research. They travel from place to place in search of dragons and clans to help with their expertise.
