Serapias' birth in Moshkaran - the center of trade of the Caravanserai - was the result of a tryst between an ambitious Ice merchant and an affluent member of the Earth Crystalcourt.

While her mother rejected Serapias' siblings for looking too much like their actual father (and too different from Sedeveria's consort), she sensed potential in her for magic, and so she took her to her family in Dragonhome, where she grew up unsuspected and got initiated to the mystical arts in spite of her affinity to Lightning, an almost opposing element.

Because of her dual elemental heritage, Serapias had everything to prove - and she did. She studied harder than most around her, and she learned to wield Earth magic, which made her feel sick to her stomach and proved at times physically painful.

She became a master at sensing Ley lines and telluric currents, and her family sent her on a journey so she would make a name for herself. With her talent for archeological and mining prospection that she could trade for favors and more, she wouldn't have too much difficulty securing power and assets for herself and the Crystalcourt...

Whether that hunger for power was her own though, or the destiny her ancestors willed for her, that was the question. When a well-informed political ennemy made veiled accusations about her father and origins, Serapias began doubting. What if this was true, and she didn't belong in the Crystalcourt?

What was her destiny?
