Biography

Pyrite, Traveling Dragon

Out of character: Please please don't exalt him, or change his name and genes! Although right now he is on the AH for a very low price, please please please don't exalt him as fodder. Pyrite here is a traveling dragon going by Auction House, and do whatever you would like with him, even breed him if you want, unless you intend on exalting or changing him :/ That really ruins the fun for everyone else! If you would like to add apparel and familiars that is totally fine, and you can do that by sending Crossroads to your friends.

Add journal entries to his bio, as many as you want, before passing him along to the next person :) I hope he has a wonderful time at your lair, and when his journal becomes full and long, if you would like, send him back home to me and his family, to @chalkolate's lair. Thank you for participating in this little fun project I'm doing ^^

Hello! To whoever happened to pick me up! My name is Pyrite, and I'd appreciate it if I stay in your lair for some time. I'm traveling to see all the wonderful places of Sornieth, since my parents wanted me to experience more about life before I pick a lair to go to. I wanted my siblings to come with me, but they were set on going with whoever will take them. They're like that, going where the wind will blow them. I don't think either of them are comfortable with meeting so many strangers like I will be. But I hope my new clan won't be strangers for long, I'm really looking forward to meeting new friends!

I want to see the world before I head home to my parents. So please, when I enter your lair, I'd appreciate if I'm not sent off to serve any of the gods. Not that I don't like them, I'd love to work for the legendary Stormcatcher! But, well, it's just I won't get to have my journey if I go work for him. I think it's a bit more fun to make new friends rather than stay in a workshop all day...

Anyways, I'll be adding more to my entries, dated and all. I won't stay and bother my temporary clans too long, maybe just a week or so, before gathering up some treasure to head to the next one. Maybe someday, when I've had enough entries, I can go back to my mom and dad here, where I've started. The entries won't all be as long as this one, it's just that, I'm really excited! I'm rambling so much. I hope whoever will see this journal someday won't mind...

Anyways, I'm packing my bags right now, and I can't wait to see what will happen in the future!

My first journey took me far to the Southern Icefields; as I made my way across the snow-covered lands, I was spotted by two Pearlcatchers, who approached me and asked what such a young dragon was doing so far from civilization. I told them that I was an adventurer at heart, and not even a blizzard could stop my wanderings. After a short introduction, they told me that their names were Isidrazar and Asadrizir, who were two of the clan's scouts and gatherers. They kindly asked if I'd like to come visit and stay with their clan for a while, if it was okay with their leader. Not only were they extending a friendly gesture, but I could tell they were concerned about the increasing tempests of the storm, which they said could last days on end. 19726298p.png

So we traveled back to the clan, discussing how life is in this wintery scape, and talked a little about myself, describing my plans to travel the world. They both thought it was a wonderful idea, and encouraged me to follow through on my dream. Eventually we made it to their clan entrance, where I was brought in and questioned lightly. It was a little intimidating at first, but I knew that they were just curious and being cautious. After they learned of my quest to see all that Sornieth had to offer, they happily offered me a space there, where I settled down and found lodgings within the home of the Twilight Glacies clan, secluded in the frozen crags of the tundra. Despite the lair appearing cold and lonely from the outside, both the furnishings and the inhabitants are very warm and welcoming! ^^

Once entering the large gathering hall, I was approached by Raziel, the clan leader, who gladly welcomed me to his home. Word got around quickly that they had a visitor, and quite a few dragons began peaking out of their living quarters to greet me. It was a little overwhelming, as there were a lot of dragons living here! During all of the chatter, I was approached by a charming and sappy Golden Bantam Fangar, who kept nuzzling up against me, following me around anywhere I went, not leaving my side until I left to visit another clan. She was my companion while I stayed here, and was a comforting friend, purring me to sleep every night.

After all of the commotion had died down, I was brought to an inviting living space, where they let me stay until I departed, which I planned on once the storm died down to a decent level. Throughout my time there, I got to talk to many of the inhabitants, and I learned much about the Icefields and what to expect during my travels to other lands. I was very excited to hear all this, and it further fueled my desire to explore the world.

It was an understatement of them saying the storm would last days - it ended up lasting weeks! However, I also took my time leaving, as I was very much enjoying my stay here, and they, too, favored my company, many of them treating me as family. As the blizzard surrounding the abode finally let up, I decided that it would be the best time to head off. As I was saying my good byes to the clan, I was approached by Zhavyne, one of the clan who I got along with especially well (and he loved talking fashion, and was the clan's wardrobe coordinator and designer) who was carrying a small, decorative box. Once he reached me, he extended it to me, and said that it was a farewell gift, and cheerily told me how he thought these matched my eyes and scales. After opening it, I was delighted to find an Ornate Copper set of a bracelet and necklace, as well as some gleaming golden claw decorations. A perfect fit, and I loved them; such a nice surprise! (and they do indeed match so very well ♥) I thanked him heartely, and said the last of my farewells. As I was leaving, I turned back to see many of the clan members waving, and the Bantam Fangar trailing distantly and mewing excitedly.

Overall, I spent quite a bit living with this clan, pretty much all of my childhood until I was a young adult, and enjoyed my time here very much! Not only did I get to listen to exciting tales of some of the clan's explorations, but I learned a lot about handling myself independently, and dabbled in many different trades. I had a great time here, and will always remember them as my first stop to see the world. Now I'm off to a new land, not knowing what to expect, but excited, nonetheless!
