I've got plenty of research to do. Spells to learn, strategies to master. I'm one of the first defenses this clan has, after all. Most of them are just freeloaders. Not me, I'm a fighter.

I didn't used to be, though. I was one of the first ones to come here, despite the dark and cold. I'm still not used to these shadows, and neither is Morrigan, but we make do. The guy in charge and his lady are creepy as all get-out but thankfully they keep to themselves. Only see him sometimes on the battlefield. He's strong, scary strong. He sacrificed his own magic for strength and shadows. I don't think I could ever do that...

But sometimes, I think about it.
