Her heart races as she sees the blue hued imperial trot by, her wings tucked neatly against her slim figure. A knot tied Claire’s throat shut and her heart beat loud enough that she had a ring in her ears. Why did she always get so flustered around Nionnai? It wasn’t like this with any other dragon, so what was the deal? Was it the tender smile she cast her way? Or maybe it was the way her eyes gave a slight sparkle when their gaze locked...

But there was no way that such a dragoness would even dare associate herself with Claire! The way she carried herself with such pride, radiated confidence... males must’ve been falling at her talons wherever she went. No, she was simply a friend of no words. Their conversations consisted of simple glances towards each other before being carried off once more by their tasks at hand.

Perhaps, however, she would approach this beautiful- erm.. wonderful imperial today. Maybe her paws wouldn't get clammy, and she would finally say something other than a stammer. There was only one way to find out, and that was to go for it. Claire stood up, took a deep breath, and walked forward.
