Quercus is one of the refuges many scavnengers, those who venture far into the Abiding Boneyard to bring back useful items or crucial resources. He is very young and relatively new to the task, but he has an unmatched enthusiasm and is hardworking. Unfortunately, Quercus is quite unlucky and while his intentions and heart is always in the right place, he more often than not, causes some kind of trouble.
It is not uncommon for Quercus to bring back the wrong plant for the healers, get followed by dragons or creatures with ill intent or even bringing back an artifact which turned out to be cursed. His goodhearted and slightly naïve nature is both his biggest flaw, but also his biggest savior. Most permanent residents of the refuge, knows at least of Quercus and knows his heart is in the right place.

Quercus came to the refuge with another traveling pack of dragons where he served as little more than a punchline and an obvious annoyance to the other traveling dragons. Some of the other residents of the refuge quickly noticed this and offered Quercus to stay and help out instead of following the other clan - who was more than happy to leave him behind at the refuge.
With slight reluctance, Quercus accepted the offer and once his old clan had left, he immediately started showing how truly energetic, positive eng enthusiastic he could really be, even as he struggled to fit properly into his new life.
