As the son of Archmage Vasily, Miles had a carefully laid out path for him: to follow in his father’s footsteps. He ended up dropping out of the academy and pursuing the arts, finding mixed success. On one hand, he has amassed a dedicated following in the local theaters, on the other, he has found himself entangled in the dealings of Astropolis’ biggest crime family.

His father Percy’s smile was gentle, understanding. He placed an assortment of treats on Miles’s table. “I’ll be here when you’re ready to talk, alright? in the meantime, it’s good to see you again.”

Miles bit his lip, the guilt was eating away at him and from his father’s furrowed brow he knew he must have noticed as well. He cleared his throat before answering. “Thank you, dad. I love you.”

“I love you too.” Percy’s expression turned sad, his eyes distant. “I know you two parted on bad terms, but I think you should know: there hasn't been a single day gone by without Vasily thinking of you.”
