Mortimer

Mortimer is a living plague. This isn't as dangerous as one might think. He is a member of a medical order that is devoted to using magic to control disease. They achieve this by purposely infecting themselves, and then studying the disease within their own bodies. The result is that they can render a disease harmless and untransmissable, so long as they themselves are still infected with it.

Currently, Mortimer is infected with over fifty highly dangerous pathogens. This has left him disfigured, but it also makes him an extremely effective physician. He came to the Nebula Woods to study the magical ailments caused by the Anomaly.

Mortimer does not get along with fellow medic Cotton. She finds him horrifyingly reckless. He thinks she's a wimp. Nonetheless, they are both professional enough to set their differences aside and work together.
