Many believe that they are born simply to search for love. That their whole existence cannot be complete without someone else by their side that fills them with warmth and cares for them in the darkest of times. Others are born not caring, and deciding there are better things in life than waiting for the perfect one that may never come. These two ideologies are not the only ones that exist, but they tend to be the loudest among the shouting. Not at war with each other, mind you, simply existing together but also apart. With different ideals about what life can be. Then you have the ones that want love but are willing to wait for it. And if they never find it? That's just fine. And finally, there is that group that doesn't care if they ever find someone or not. If they do, its news to them. If not, then there is no skin off their nose. Not many come into the world knowing they wanted to find love for others, instead of themselves. From the time he was small, Amore had an eye for love. He knew how to help someone say the right thing, how to cherish the person they cared for. He does not put up one-night stands or people that only wish for pleasure instead of love. No. He cares more deeply for those he helps. Love is precious and beautiful and it should be cherished. He knows it should be held close to the heart. Thus, he uses his cupid-like powers to run his love charm shop. When the bell rings, he makes his way from the large pillow in his home on the second story down to the shop. The whole store has been made to feel like a place where love can bloom. Flowers all over the place in nicely decorated pots. Silk drapes and curtains along all the walls. The temperature and even warmth and fairy lights hanging in mid-air. The smell of cherry blossoms wafting off of his fluffy fur with every movement. Keep in mind, the charms he sells are not meant to be love at first sight or a shackle to connect to someone's heart. It simply gives love a chance to blossom. Amore can usually tell if love will, in fact, survive. Much to his own dismay, Amore finds himself lonely. He's so busy finding love for others that he often has little time to find love for himself. Perhaps he will find himself the perfect man one day, but until then, there are more matches to make. Written by Dew |
