The Wanderer

Fancy Found in Flame

In her youth, the Wanderer was said to have danced as though she were made of the flames themselves.

Unlike her fellow metallurgists and smiths of the Ashfall Waste, the fire that burned within the Wanderer was not one of industry, but of art. The billowing smoke and twisting flames called to her more than the clamour of the forge. A natural talent, in her adolescence she departed the fire lands to seek out other artists such as herself.

On the road, she found her heart. Travelling with other dancers, she has performed at Flight Celebrations in every region of Sornieth; a legend and a marvel of her craft. She passed on to her children her passion for her art, a line who have inherited their mother's grace and fleetness of foot. In her age, she finds teaching easier on her bones than dancing, though occasionally at the odd Flameforger Festival, she can be called out of her self-proclaimed retirement in a swirl of silks and glittering dust if a bribe is found sufficiently enticing.

She found a lengthy home in the Starfall Isles almost accidentally, but has come to love the night sky here and is reluctant to leave. Travelling isn't as easy as it once was for her, and she has discovered a new passion in teaching the massive colonies of fae to memorize and perform complex choreography. The faes are ever curious and eager to learn from the elderly dancer, and Starfall celebrations have taken on a whole new aura of magic and spectacle since she made the Arcane lands her lasting home.
