The stars called out to Xlska as they always did. Twinkling lights in an endless void beyond. Always the same no matter where she stood when she saw them. Unreachable. Taunting. Someone had told her once that the Aether had known them more deeply. Walked in the same sky; saw them from a vantage beyond what even the deities knew. It made her feel bitter knowing that she would never see them that same way.

It was a full moon tonight and its light filtered through the trees and guided her steps through the dense forest she wandered through. She kept a steady pace only to pause when the trees grew less dense to look to the sky for guidance. This time, the stars pointed her toward the wetlands at the edge of the Viridian Labyrinth. She didn't know what she would find there, but it is where she was meant to be.
