Biography
Lost treasure finder/ Sea pirate.
Protects the river systems in the clan territory while looting its hidden treasures.
Rosalind is quite the spunky Nocturne, even taking on a role in aquatic engineering to go with her pirate accent, oh dear another Finch. Like several other water dragons, Rosalind has a love for exploring the waterways around the clan's territory that run throughout the Viridian Labyrinth. Can't have trees without water! Well Rosalind may be a lightning dragon who has those different eyes meaning she has power but she sure loves to take the water rapids in her canoe like ship. And what lightning powers could possibly help someone who sails on the open waters? Well, pirates love their chanties, and listening to Rosalind's could knock you off your feet, literally. Rosalind's powers let her create thunder whenever she sings. These very thunderclaps can be loud enough to be heard from a mile away and can make a dragon up close loose hearing for hours. In other words Rosalind also makes for an awesome rock star and lead singer of the Bugleweed Blues gigs usually singing songs she or Tamako write(he plays harmonica). Rosalind is one of those singers that really gets you pumped up and easy to tell when she's excited as she is famous for ended the concert with a bang!
When she isn't practicing in her free time for the band, Rosalind is exploring the rapids with her friend, Coyote, as she does a little treasure hunting to find lost treasures that fall in the water and head downstream. Though Coyote doesn't stick around long as she is part of the Luna Lycanons that protect the Cave of Hibernation, Rosalind still enjoys meeting her at the bridge for their early morning met ups. Rosalind isn't alone though after Coyote leaves, sometimes other dragons like Waterwing, Kailani, or Skylar show up for some venturing of her own. In some ways this makes Rosalind a Fossilized Fern for the waterways but Rosalind tends to never share what she has except to sellin' to the AH or boast to other pirates she crosses. Some say that Rosalind uses her treasures to reward any dragon who can make it across the river she guards( she considers the water her property while she's on it), or if they can withstand her blasts long enough to tap her staff. Actually the only dragon who has managed this feat is Rutile (known as Rue) who Rosalind ended up getting her a trumpet she found in a chest. Rue had no idea how to play but gave it a go. Turns out she is quite the naturally earning her a spot on the Bugleweed Blues too. In fact, Rue's own loud horn playing ended up knocking Rosalind off the boat herself. Since the two have been best buds often seeing each other when Rue gives tours by the waterways Rosalind is traveling down. Occasionally Rosalind will start performing a pirate chantey or start boasting her pirate rep, one that's better than the so called Pirate Finch, which in turn leaves the two rivals. All fun and a bottle of rum!
Rosalind does have her own partner in not illegal crime, her Fairy Octopus. The familiar dives into the water and helps Rosalind obtain treasures that have ended up in caverns hard for a dragon to squeeze into, but easy for an octopus. When not doing treasure dives it will either sit up in its fishbowl lookout point or sit on the treasure chest guarding it. In fact it's strong enough to tow the chest from the bottom of the boat, merely jumping off and holding on if someone tries to loot Rosalind's goods. Either jumping or using its suckers to hold onto the boat while Rosalind blasts the enemies off the boat with her Thunderclap Cackle (or at least what she calls it). Though if enemies ever manage to get to close to Rosalind, she still throws a mean lightning punch, a real shocker (ha puns XD). Though her fairy octopus can also distract enemies with its cute face cuz who can say no to that face. . . well that and it can trip people off or tie them up with its tentacles. All it needs is to get a little airborne, again don't let one of these on your face (reference to Ruby's familiar). Luckily it has that little lookout, and the perch on Rosalind's staff cuz who needs a parrot when ya got an octopus.
At the end of her days watching over the waters of the Viridian Labyrinth as she does a great job as a water groundskeeper considering all the looting she does in the water, and because she'll stop any fights with her Thundering Cackle she sees (well mostly because they are messing up her own Chanties) she returns to the Bridge to hide all of her treasures that aren't already decorated in her treehouse home. In fact, Rosalind's home is right across from Finch's so that every morning the two lock eyes. OH Rivals (eye roll) XD!
