"I am a warrior. A dragon bred for war. You do not want to test me."
Spartan is a dragon bred for war and conflict. He is massive in size and just as strong. He was bred by a now lost clan. They bred dragons especially for war. From the moment he hatched Spartan was trained to fight and kill. The hatchlings learned quickly that only the strongest survived. Spartan ended up being the strongest and only surviving hatchling of his nest. When he matured he was taught to fight properly. The clan leader took a liking to him and took Spartan under his wing. He taught Spartan how to fight and protect himself and even had the clan shaman give him a special mixture of herbs that strengthen his bones, increased his muscle density and heightened his reflexes and reaction time. Spartan was the ultimate weapon and was feared by many. He gained the name 'Demon' by his enemies due to the unstoppable force he had become. Spartan spent many many years of his life fighting for his clan. He has killed thousands of dragons since his hatching. He is a force to be reckoned with. Spartan stuck close to the leader of his clan whenever he wasn't in battle. His leader had wisdom beyond his years and Spartan was determined to learn as much as he could from his leader. During his years of service Spartan has traveled all over Sornieth fighting wherever he went. Even though his clan was from The Sea of a Thousand Currents his favored spot was in the Stormcatcher's own Shifting Expanse however Spartan knew he would probably never leave his birth clan. Then suddenly one day everything changed. A massive war faring Wing Flight clan attacked Spartan's birth clan while the majority of the warriors were out fighting. His clan was decimated. When the warriors returned they were ambushed. Spartan was the sole survivor out of the ambush but he barely survived. He had deep wounds and gashes all over his body. Spartan knew he was dying but he wanted to see the Shifting Expanse one last time. He somehow managed to make it to the edge of the Shifting Expanse before blacking out. Spartan awoke in complete darkness. Blood had caked over his eyes making it almost impossible for him to open them. Suddenly he felt claws running over his sealed eyes. He was about to lash out when a loud voice boomed around him. It said "Be calm Demon. We are here to help." As it spoke the claws had managed to get enough blood off his eyes for him to open them. Once he adjusted to the flashing lights he saw he was in the presence of hundreds of Ridgebacks and one massive dragon. He immediately recognized the massive dragon as the Stormcatcher. Spartan was mesmerized as he took in the deity. The Stormcatcher wasted no time. "I have been watching you for a very long time now Demon. You have fought many dragons on my land." As he spoke Spartan began to fear the worst yet something about the way the deity was speaking calmed him. "You are one of the strongest dragons around. It would be a great shame if we lost you so I have an offer for you Demon. You are dying but I have the power to save you. I can imbue you with the power of a lightning storm and save you life and in return you fight for me. You'll live here in my Shift Expanse and train your own warriors who you will send to my ranks. What do you say Demon?" The Stormcatcher looked at Spartan awaiting an answer. Spartan took a minute to think before agreeing to the deity's terms. The Stormcatcher seemed to have smiled as he accepted his terms. He told Spartan to step forward which he did without hesitation. The deity touched one of his massive claws to Spartan's chest. Almost immediately Spartan felt electricity flow through his body healing his wounds and giving him strength. Spartan's once deep blue eyes turned lightning blue as he was reborn as a Lightning dragon. |
