Pyros

Rough Draft: Unlike his mother, he finds entertainment and joy in combat. He's very ambitious and not afraid to play dirty in order to achieve his goals. However when his mother is around, he turns a 180, becoming softer in her presence as all previous traces of his lust for power and fight vanish. Sometimes he finds himself wondering what his life would be like if he followed his mother's path instead. Memories from his youth flutter by of distant laughter, games, and a distinct sense of contentment. But like all things, the memory that comes afterward sours things for him. Roars echo in his ears as rain pounds against the walls, lightning flashing in the window as a serpentine dragon looms over him. His mother steps in front of him, pleading. Then her head snaps to the side, blood flying through the air as the other dragon hits her and tosses her to the ground.

Pyros remembers feeling weak and small and terrified in that moment. Then anger unlike anything he ever knew coursed through him. He may have been half-grown, not fit to take on a full grown dragon, but he was mad as all hells for what they had done to his mother. All he knew in that moment was that he was going to make them pay.

tldr: Pyros used to be a happy lil boy until a dragon who always distrusted and basically mistreated Cruel turned up and attempted to take him away from her. His mother fought the dragon but is not well versed in combat and was easily beaten. Seeing his mother slumped on the floor awakened something in Pyros, causing his eyesight to tint red as he launched himself at the other dragon. His memory blanks for a bit and he comes to the corpse of the other dragon. His mother stares at him for a long moment before slowly crawling towards him and wrapping her wings around him. He sits there in shock for sometime before vowing to never let anyone else hurt his mom and him ever again. And that if they won't take his family seriously because of the peaceful route that his mother chose, then he'll make them respect him another way. By fear.
