Biography
Your satchel is packed for the day and you're off to meet the dragons living in this community before you head out into the deep jungle over the next few days. The first place you decide to head to is the local juice bar. This is a fairly novel concept for you, but this restaurant seems to be well loved in the community.
"Hi there, darling! Can I get you anything? We have a variety of fruit and insect juice blends for the discerning palate!"
You balk at the thought of an insect juice blend, but ask to try the apple puckerberry juice on the menu. She smiles and turns to the row of large, tapped barrels, and pours juice into a cup from two of them. When you take a sip, you realize why they call it a puckerberry, and you're thankful it's been diluted somewhat by the apple juice.
You thank her for the drink and say it's delicious. She smiles at you again. Her smile is beaming and her scales are as colorful as the drinks she serves. You get distracted by this little twirl she does with her tail as she serves other customers, when you realize the restaurant is empty now. She rests her forearms on the counter and leans over towards you. You feel a little embarrassed for staring and consider apologizing, when she says,
"I know you're not from around here, and I wanted to ask you question. I heard you're a scientist. Can you tell me if other types of dragons live amongst the stars? Some dragons think my theory is crazy. They don't think anything lives anywhere that isn't Sornieth. Some of my friends though, say they've seen weird things come from the stars, things that fly like we do, but aren't alive. Dragons that seem to have come from somewhere else that don't look like any dragon species they've ever seen. Do you think I'm crazy? Is it possible for living beings to live somewhere else?"
You stammer. Certainly this dragon doesn't believe in aliens...? But at the same time, books you've seen in the Arcanist's library seem to indicate there might be dragons among the stars... But you haven't researched it, you haven't seen proof, and even though there very well might be other creatures on other planets, you don't think they'd come visit like that and we wouldn't know about it.
"I'm not sure. There might be, but I haven't seen anything like that myself. I've seen books that say there might be other beings up there."
She seems disappointed, but there's a bit of a spark in her eye when you mention the last part about the books.
