Wynter

Wynter; a cold hearted (literally) pearlcatcher is known for his unique ability to touch anything hot as the sun and freeze it, or touch something cold as ice and boil it to melting goo. Some say his ability isn't super helpful, but he brushes off all of the rude comments like it's nothing (he knows he's the only one in the clan with this talent).

It's extremely hard to get Wynter to think about others - he is more of a go-getter than a socialist - but when you do, you'll realize he's just as friendly as a new neighbor across the street.

Wynter first learned about his special abilities when he was only just a hatchling. He accidentally touched a brand new ice sculpture that was made for Christmas - his whole town put all their funds toward it - and he ended up melting it right down to the rock it was sitting on. Everyone despised Wynter and cast him out for being different and clumsy. Now everyone in his new clan thinks that is where he gets his temper from, but no. He only avoids others because he thinks he will once again be tossed out like a handful of feathers - floating away never to be seen again.

But everyone knows it isn't that easy to get rid of him. Even though his scales are smooth and shiny, he has a tough exterior. Wynter has put up with so many dragons being jealous of him, he is used to it now. The teasing and hatred doesn't happen in the clan he now resides in, but one clumsy move and he will think to start packing his bags.

Being one of the few pearlcatchers in the clan, most rely on him to help with translating new scrolls and letters from other islands. He is very fluent in other dragon languages. Besides from roars and screeches, he studies growls and slight chirps.

Knowing the differences, he can tell when to back off, or when to comfort. Wynter knows how to write, he is usually the one who tends to write back all of the letters. Not many dragons even know they can control their claws to move with utensils. So he feels very witted at most times.
