B I O G R A P H Y

Mocha is the baker and cook for the small coffee shop managed by Truffle. She creates cakes, macaroons, biscuits, truffles, brownies, and all manner of other edibles. She prefers to bake but she also creates deliciously seasoned stews, sushi, salads, and insect platters. Despite being an insect eating fae she still tastes everything she makes, from the massive pots of zeeba shank stew to the platters of seafood large enough to satiate an entire clan of ridgebacks. She's not a fan of salads but she's still careful to make sure every one she makes is a delicy for the one eating it. She also serves beverages to the customers when Truffle is busy.

She sometimes wonders why she's the one named Mocha and he's called Truffle when she's the baker and he's the one who prepares all the drinks. A few customers have jokingly said it's because he's so sweet while she's very bitter, though that earned them a wilted salad or a bug platter that was still twitching. She doesn't deny it, though. He's much more personable. She puts on a smile for everyone who comes in but she's much more rough around the edges than the friendly and kind guardian. Even so, she takes pride in the food she creates and in seeing the reactions of those who taste it. She knows her skill with cooking is surpassed by few and she's not shy in bragging about it. She has a soft spot for the denizens of the clan whose lives have been less than pleasant and often slides them an extra brownie or cake slice when nobody else is watching. Her past may have caused her to be a bit bitter and jaded, but inside her heart is as warm as what she's named for.
