Nova is a fairly isolated dragon. She is one of only a few dragons in this clan that is nocturnal. This means that her interactions with many of her clan-mates is extremely limited. Her mate, Azazel is not nocturnal, but tries to spend as much time up with her at night as possible. Nova is tolerant of other dragons, but will not go out of her way to talk to them. Although she is kind and caring to her hatchlings, they will often describe her as a little distant.

She spends most of her time at night studying the stars. She is fascinated by them, and will track them across the sky as the seasons change. Any dragon that happens to wake up in the middle of the night may see Nova's own constellation pattern glowing in the darkness, mirroring the very stars she studies. Some dragons will even try to stay up all night to try and catch a glimpse of her beauty.

Nova hates the sunlight, as it makes her beloved constellations disappear. The few times that she does end up going out in the sunlight, other dragons describe it as night breaking through the day.

The word beautiful does not even begin to describe the wonder that the other dragons feel when seeing her. Every dragon in the clan knows the tales of her beauty, though few have ever seen it for themselves. Many fantastical stories, many of them untrue, exist of what she has done in her lifetime. MySon often gets requests from hatchlings to tell stories of Nova The Star-Catcher.
