- Nearly all species of sea turtle are classified as endangered
- Sea turtles can be found from the shallow seagrass beds of the Indian Ocean, to the colorful reefs of the Coral Triangle, and even the sandy beaches of the Eastern Pacific
- Sea turtles have roamed the earth for the last 110 million years
- Some sea turtles eat large numbers of jellyfish
- Some can live up to 50 years or more
- Most marine turtles take decades to mature (between 20-30 years)
