His name does not only reflect his personality, but his magic as well. Ever since childhood, he has had problems with growing and manipulating plants like regular nature dragons. Manipulating vines and other plants properly was simply very difficult for him, and they often ended up dying. Even when he managed to grow a plant, it’d quickly end up wilting. His clanmates worried that he had been tainted by the blight that had been ravaging the forest around the time of his hatching, and often likened him to a plague dragon in his all-nature clan. Because of this he wasn’t treated very well. Some pitied him, and some were afraid of him. His unusual powers for his flight have always made him an outcast, but it turned out they were much more useful than any dragon had thought. He found a way to use them to help others, and now specializes in herbs, being able to dry out and prepare any plants for medicine much faster than any other dragon could. |

He likes researching different herbs’ healing properties and characteristics and has built up an impressive collection of journals to keep his knowledge in. Nowadays he spends most of his time studying and documenting different plants and works as a healer, occasionally treating sick or injured dragons when needed. He is very much respected in his community. Documenting is truly when he is at his happiest, a trait he shares with his clanmate Len. Both dragons are stand-offish researchers who work best on their own. While Blight specializes in healing herbs and plants in general, Len specializes in poisons and their effects, as well as other lifeforms. It isn’t uncommon to see them lending their journals to each other to help them in their quest for knowledge, and occasionally they even work together. Len's knowledge about poisons can help Blight treat dragons, and Blight's documents on different plants can help Len find new subjects to test on. Even if Blight is a lot more dignified compared to Len’s... unrefined personality, their straight-to-the-point attitudes and curious natures work together perfectly! |
