Biography

6BIYuVl.png

A Tundra suffering from amnesia, with no hint as to who he might be, save for a seemingly empty journal with several missing pages. He's not even sure what his name is, but the one he goes by, "Imitari," was what he found inscribed on the book. He's on a quest to find the truth to his identity, and is keeping track of his journey in the journal he woke up with, lest he forget it all again.

~Imitari's Journal~

tumblr_inline_npnp18CLpx1r3ign3_100.png Day 1:
I don't know who I am.

I woke up in this strange forest, alone and very confused. All I have with me is this book, which has the word "Imitari" inscribed on the cover, and several missing pages. I've already checked it front to back and there is nothing but blank paper, so I've decided to use it as a journal. I can only assume Imitari is my name, and I can't help but wonder what this book used to hold.

There are strange noises in the darkness of the forest. I need to find somewhere safe to spend the night.

tumblr_inline_nxn46laFzU1tqyuge_100.png Day 2:
I've taken shelter in a small cave I found. It looks like it was dug out by someone or something, but it smells long abandoned. It started to rain at some point through the night, and it's still raining now, so I've got nothing else to do but sit and wait for the storm to pass. I don't want to risk getting this book damaged, and I have a feeling I won't have a great time if my fur gets waterlogged.

There's not much else to write about, so I guess that's it for now.

Day 2, Second Entry:
Eventually the rain let up, and I was able to explore my surroundings a bit more. I'm back in the cave now, as it's late and it's still the best shelter I've found, but I did find something of note: the remnants of a torn page, completely destroyed by the mud and water. I wonder if it was originally from this book, or if it's unrelated.

Either way, there's no information I can gain from it, and if there are any other stray papers around, they're surely in just as bad a condition as the one I found. I don't think I'll be able to find out anything about my past unless I can find someone who might have known me.

Tomorrow, I'm going to pick a direction and keep walking for as long as I can. There is nothing for me here.

tumblr_inline_nxn46laFzU1tqyuge_100.png Day 3:
I've been walking since I woke up this morning, and yet this forest shows no sign of anything other than trees, mushrooms, moss, and shrubbery. At least I managed to find some edible plants and berries—I'm not entirely sure how I know they were safe to eat, but the smell of them seemed to reach a faraway part of my mind that knows what to eat and what to avoid. Let's just hope my instincts are correct and I don't fall terribly ill due to my dietary choices.

The sun is on its way down, and I'm using the last remaining light to write before it becomes too dark to see. There's something that feels wrong about this place; I've yet to see or hear any wildlife, which is concerning considering how lush this forest is.

I wasn't lucky enough to stumble across another cave, so it looks like I'll be spending the night out in the open. I can only hope it doesn't rain again, and that tomorrow brings better findings.

tumblr_inline_nxn46laFzU1tqyuge_100.png Day 4:
It seems the forest wasn't as empty as I thought.

I awoke this morning to several spears and swords pointed at my face. On the other end of the weapons were about half a dozen serpentine creatures, which I later learned are Serthis. They were wary of me, and asked many questions I was looking for the answers to myself.

Once they decided I wasn't a threat, they brought me back to their home—a village with incredible verticality, with some living high in the tree canopy, while others burrowed deep underground. I'm amazed creatures without wings are comfortable living so high up! In fact, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with it even with them... I've yet to mention it until now, but the reason I've been walking thus far is because I seem to be afraid of heights. My first attempt to take to the sky led to a crash-landing after the small height caused intense vertigo.

But I digress. The important thing right now is these Serthis have been incredibly kind and hospitable, and I'm currently staying in a spare hut on the ground level, writing this entry by lanternlight. They said a lot of things I didn't understand, but I was assured we would discuss everything in more detail tomorrow.

Until then, I suppose.
