Biography
Kunzite Flute Player - Adventurous/Resilient
Kunzite’s hatching was a unique one. As soon as his glossy eggshell cracked open, a bolt of lightning struck him. Suddenly, similar bolts of lightning started erupting from his eyes. Everyone backed up quickly, but the lightning was rather harmless. It just gently shocked anyone Kunzite touched. Whenever he got excited, the lightning would spark wildly however, so other dragons would fear for their safety. Because of this, Kunzite spent most of his life with dragons staying away from him.
That all changed however, the day he found a magic flute. Swirls appeared on his wings and neck as he played, and magical birds flew around him. Soon, other dragons from EnergyClan started wanting to hang out with him again.
He eventually found out the name of the dragon who gave him his magic flute, Breezeheart. She was a wind mage who created the flute with her magic. They became close friends, and soon married and had two children.
Kunzite trekked through the Shifting Expanse, looking for something to do. Today was the start of the Mistral Jamboree, and he had already gotten himself temporarily banished. He had woken up, feeling all excited, and promptly set everything on fire. Now, he was banished until sunset.
Kunzite sighed. Primal eyes seemed great at first, he thought. Now they’re just a curse. No-one can touch me without getting shocked, and I set things on fire whenever I’m excited or happy. Kunzite was so preoccupied with his thoughts that he didn’t notice the canyon in front of him.
He stepped off the edge and started to fall, before a gentle gust of wind carried him back. Kunzite looked around, confused, when a female wildclaw glided down and landed on the canyon edge. “Are you alright?” she asked, reaching out to comfort him. Kunzite scooted out of the way however before she could touch him.
“Don’t,” he replied, shuffling farther away. “These will shock you.” He gestured at his eyes which had electricity sparking off of them. She paused, hurt glimmering in her cyan eyes. Kunzite looked down at the sand, ashamed. “Sorry,” he mumbled.
“It’s okay,” she responded, messing with some kind of contraption attached to her shoulder.
“What is that?” Kunzite asked.
“It’s an Aerborne Gustgather.”
“A what now?”
“It allows me to focus my wind magic and create breezes.”
“Oh. So you're a mage?" She nodded. "Are you the one that saved me?" he quietly asked.
"Yeah." She blushed slightly. "I should be going." She turned around to leave.
"Wait!" he cried out. "Why are you going."
She smiled slightly. "I don't live here. But I have something for you."
He tipped his head to the side. "You do?." She extended her front talons, and a green flute appeared.
"It will bring you good luck if you play it." She then turned and left without another word.
Good luck, he thought. I could use some of that.
