Cast out of several clans due to his parents' crimes, Skatan vows faithfully to serve Chianan in return for the charity she showed in allowing him to stay in Clan Zenith. His only connection to his home flight is the color of his eyes and the rare prayer to the Shadowbinder. He hasn't quite become fully Arcane, nor does he feel particularly Water, however, and instead sees himself as almost Flightless. Though he often keeps to himself and shows distaste towards the other dragons, he cares deeply for his team. He has an on-again-off-again relationship with Akeldama and follows her around like a kicked puppy.
Skatan, Akeldama, and Chalice were the first dragons to venture into the wilds known as the Coliseum. They trained together and formed a fierce bond that has endured even as they have disbanded their little team. Though Skatan is a bit rough around the edges, he would easily lay down his life for Akeldama or Chalice. He still fights with Akeldama, now training those destined for exalting in the Kelp Beds.
