Once a wealthy and well-respected alchemist, Helichrysum fell from grace after a series of unfortunate incidents involving faulty potions. Her insistence that her ingredients had been tampered with were dismissed. Dismayed and resentful, she fled her former home to avoid prosecution and vowed to expose her saboteur. After her departure, she soon became lost in an unforgiving desert landscape. As she struggled to find water and shelter, she stumbled across a miniature magical rift...it led to a strange oasis. Beside the waterhole, a fractured and vaguely dragon-like being demanded a price for fruit, water, and rest. On the verge of collapse, she bargained away her voice in exchange.

However, the being was a trickster at heart. It found this amusing, in its own strange way, and decided to impress upon her a "gift" of foresight. This was, it claimed, "a sort of buy some get a thing free deal". Helichrysum can now see up to three minutes and two seconds into the future, which has proven to be more useful than it sounds.

- a very resolute dragon, she does what has to be done
- life has cheated her. she knows that. she's had a hard run of things, it's almost like the universe has been laughing at her... in her prime, losing her job, her renown, her voice - but she doesn't let this get her down. to say she's not at all bitter would be incorrect. but she keeps her head high, moves forward, and tries not to let things bother her.
- she won’t stand for being wronged. if she sees/feels someone’s treating her unfairly they’re gonna get it
- communicates very effectively through body language and expression. get ready for a lot of eyerolls
- also has begun to learn some sign language but it’s still pretty rough and not many other dragons know it here. known to scrawl something on parchment hastily if she really needs to get a point across, but really she’s a woman of action so if she needs something to happen she’ll make it happen or make you do it
- has definitely saved more than a few peoples lives and they don’t know it. like grabbed them by the shoulders and moved them out of the way of an incoming attack she foresaw or similar
