Seen as a clown to most, he isn't taken very seriously. With a grin always plastered to his maw and a bright name to match his coloring it's often assumed that he will only mess around. Most expect very little of him, and he lived his life not caring about that until he met Ruddia. When he first laid eyes on her it was like the heavens had cast a glow upon her form, and with sparkles in his eyes he was in it for the long haul.

She had been cautious at first, having heard the rumors of his seeming lack of commitment, but as the days went by and he dutifully escorted her to gather herbs daily for over a year she had learned he was anything but a jester. He had opened his heart and had given her only kindness and a loyalty none had ever shown her. Behind closed doors he would whisper sweet nothings into her ear and dream of a day where they could have a family of their own.

He always loved kids, adored their antics and constant wonder. He wanted a big family full of love, and his desire for one was so strong he would often fall fast and hard for the wrong dragons. He would get his big family but then they would leave, never being able to handle the scrutiny others would put him under. There were children of his in this world that he didn't even know the name of.

After having a family of their own with little hatchlings running amongst their claws Ruddia had finally asked why he had never proved anyone wrong about who he really was. Although Neon had never really thought about that before the answer had been immediate, and with a look of absolute certainty he explained that if they would not look to see who he truly was then he would not waste his time showing them. He firmly believed people saw that they wanted to, and he would rather focus on those who saw him for him than to worry about those who didn't.

His outfit had started out as a joke really. His wife had mentioned in passing how funny it would be if he really did dress like a clown, as if to mock those who had dismissed him. He took the idea and ran with it, starting with only a silly pair of googly eyes, but when he saw the laughter find his lovers eyes he couldn't help but take it a step further. So now he dons the whimsical apparel with pride, and continues to wear it sheerly for his wife's amusement.
